Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Meat thermometer
  • Plate
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 burger buns

Optional

  • lettuce
  • tomato slices
  • onion slices
  • pickles
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • burger sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Season the beef
Add the ground beef to a bowl with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form the patties
Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties. Press a small indent in the center of each patty.
  • Air fry the patties
Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the centers reach 160°F (71°C).
  • Add the cheese
Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last 1 minute of cooking so it melts.
  • Build the cheeseburgers
Add the patties to buns and top with your favorite burger toppings.
  • Serve
Serve right away while hot and juicy.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the beef or the burgers can turn dense.
  • Pressing a small indent in the center helps the patties cook more evenly.
  • Use a thermometer for the best results.
  • Add the cheese near the end so it melts without overcooking.
  • Toast the buns separately if you want a better texture.
