Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Meat thermometer
  • Plate or tray

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Optional

  • burger buns
  • sliced cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • onion
  • pickles
  • burger sauce or mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Season the beef
Add the ground beef to a bowl with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form the patties
Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Press a small indent in the center of each one to help them cook evenly.
  • Air fry the patties
Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach your preferred doneness. For food safety, cook ground beef to 160°F (71°C).
  • Add cheese if using
If adding cheese, place it on the patties during the last 1 minute of cooking.
  • Serve
Serve on buns, over salad, or in bowls with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the beef or the patties can turn dense.
  • Pressing a small indent in the center helps keep the patties flat.
  • Cook in a single layer for the best airflow.
  • Use a meat thermometer for the best texture and accuracy.
  • These are great for burgers, lettuce wraps, or burger bowls.
